Character Information: Alma on the DGM Wiki
Personality: UPDATE THIS
Even considering the circumstances of his birth/creation and childhood (which involved constant experimentation, pain, and death), Alma is an almost absurdly normal little boy. He's optimistic and generally trusting of authority figures (somehow), and when no one else is around he's likely to simply settle himself down with a book or a quiet game to pass the time. With company he's open and emotional, easily driven to tears before just as quickly jumping back to all-smiles. It's insinuated that he had a much better handle on his emotions before he knew Yu, but while he's not prone to picking fights, he has absolutely no problem with defending himself once one's been started. Most of his first interactions with Yu were of that sort: yelling matches that escalated into brawls before they could be broken up by staff members.
Always curious, he's constantly asking questions and getting excitable about the answers... mostly because there are so many things he simply doesn't know due to his sheltered childhood (if you can even call it a childhood). After all, though he’s got the body and mindset of a ten-year-old boy, he’s actually been awake for less than a year. He's almost completely ignorant of traditional everyday life outside the lab, his small amount of (often inaccurate) knowledge gained only through a few books and interactions with his caretakers. For example, he thinks Winter is a mean old man who makes the outside cold and was completely enthralled by his first taste of a strange new substance known as "mayonnaise". The only things he's truly familiar with are the Asia Sixth Laboratory, the doctors and staff within it, and his fellow "apostles".
Above everything else, Alma is lonely. Spending much of his time outside of synchro testing left to his own devices, he developed a habit of talking to his sleeping "brothers" (the apostles who'd yet to wake from their stasis), visiting them every morning to detail happenings at the Order and new things he'd learned. He spent six months on his own before Yu woke up, but once he did Alma stuck to him like glue. Often against the other boy's will... and by that, I mean that he stalked him relentlessly until Yu finally broke down and stopped chasing him away. He wants nothing more than to just make friends to talk with and he'll treasure any connection he manages to make, going to great lengths to protect it even at the risk of his own personal safety.

There was a loud grunt and an odd crunching noise when Alma hit the wall... and another when he slid down to smack into the tile floor... and then an audible pop when his dislocated shoulder fixed itself back into place.
He didn't understand why Yu was always like this. All he'd wanted was to talk with the other boy. It was always so quiet, sitting alone in the lab. He like to sit in the womb room with his sleeping siblings better, but it'd been too cold for that for the last few days. Sometimes Doctor Edgar would sit with him for a little while and play games or bring him books, but he always had so much work to do that he couldn't stay for very long. Alma wasn't really sure what the staff did when they weren't working with him or having those really serious meetings that the branch chief always yelled about...
And there was her angry voice, loud enough to be heard over the chaos of panicked scientists and Yu's cursing. "That is enough, Yu!" Alma sat up halfway in the rubble he'd landed in, wiping his eyes clear of blood from a cut on his brow that had already sealed itself over. The branch chief was a small woman, but no less intimidating for it, looming over a grumbling Yu in a way few others would dare to. Alma had learned a long time ago not to stand that close. Situations like this were what happened when he did.
"Tell that little stalker-bitch to leave me alone!"
Alma scowled and stood from the rubble, angry tears pricking at his eyes. He was supposed to stay calm like Doctor Serlins always told him, but that was so hard with Yu around. They were "brothers". Not like the ones Edgar had told him about, but they were both going to be exorcists! They were supposed to synchronize with the Innocence and help people and stand together, but Yu wouldn't even talk to him! He was always so angry and mean for no reason and-!
Alma lunged forward with a frustrated cry, and there was another loud pop among the yells of the scientists and the bellows of the branch chief as Yu discovered just what a dislocated shoulder felt like.
